for Justice of the Peace
Friends & Supporters:
As your Justice of the Peace, I believe in personal responsibility, applying the law without partiality, and treating people with dignity, respect, and fairness. I am firmly pro-life. I oppose the liberal agenda to fundamentally transform America. As a JP, I remain committed encouraging wayward students to stay in school and out of trouble.
Three years ago I ran as a Republican when it was not popular and defeated a 19 year Democrat incumbent. It has been my privilege to serve as your JP, and I would like the opportunity to continue.
My record speaks for itself. Proudly we achieved one of my first term goals: streamlining procedures and reducing expenses. Another first term goal was to modernize the JP Court computer software, integrating it with the rest of the county. (Most of Bosque County uses the Net Data software, which is highly efficient.) Again, we reached this goal for our citizens.
My background includes serving as a business owner for 30 years, as well as holding a Master’s Degree in Family Counseling. My diverse life experiences, extensive educational training, and current experience as judge, are beneficial in performing my duties and undertaking the responsibilities as your Justice of the Peace. As a long standing, rural-values conservative, I ask for your vote in the upcoming election.
As Your JP, I Am Committed. . .
- A judge should be bound by both the United States and Texas constitutions.
- The role of a judge is to apply the law, not legislate from the bench.
- A judge must be unbiased and fair in all his decisions.
- The court should be efficient with all its resources.
- The JP court must be accessible to all its citizens.
